Usage

Settings → Usage shows where your AI allowance stands this billing period and holds the controls for usage-based billing. For how the allowance works, see Billing.

Your allowance​

The top panel shows the current period and a progress bar of allowance used vs. remaining, plus total tokens used this period. It updates as you generate; use the refresh control to pull the latest after a burst of generation.

When the bar hits 100%, the panel flags that AI has fallen back to the free economy model. From there you can enable overage below to keep using any model.

Independent of the allowance, your plan also caps generations per calendar month: 20 on Solo, 25 on trial, unlimited on Team and Scale (see Billing). The count isn't charted here; hitting the cap surfaces as a "Monthly generation limit reached" error when you generate, and the get_usage MCP tool reports where the workspace stands.

Overage and spend cap​

Two controls, saved together:

  • Enable overage turns usage-based billing on for your seat. Past the allowance, calls bill at the Reactor rate plus $0.25 per million tokens instead of stopping.
  • Monthly spend cap is the ceiling on your total AI spend for the period, allowance included. Defaults to $250 on Team and $400 on Scale; the maximum is $1,000 per seat. Solo has no overage. The overage bar shows how much of the headroom between allowance and cap is used.

Changing either requires the manager role. Contributors see their own numbers but cannot change billing behavior.

Team usage​

On workspaces with more than one member, managers and owners get a per-member table: each member's allowance percentage used and any overage accrued this period. The same numbers appear inline on the Team page, where managers can also edit each member's spend cap.

Allowances are per seat. A member who exhausts theirs drops to the economy fallback without affecting anyone else.

Default model​

The model picker (bottom-right on dashboard pages) sets which model your generations use, grouped by tier: Economy, Standard, and Frontier. Your choice is saved as your personal default and applies to your calls only.

When your allowance is exhausted, non-economy models lock in the picker until you enable overage or the period resets.
